Pentamer partners with Boise State University

BOISE ID, ORLANDO FL, June 9, 2021 --

Pentamer Biologics LLC, a collaboration driven biotechnology company focused on developing vaccinations for infectious related to Staphylocouccus Aureus, is proud to announce a new collaboration with Boise State University (BSU).

Pentamer recently submitted a grant to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) through the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program. The grant seeks funding to further research into the vaccines.

S. aureus is a top priority human pathogen that is commonly antibiotic-resistant. It continues to cause significant morbidity and mortality in infected patients.

Research is being led by Pentamer Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Juliette Tinker. Dr. Tinker is also Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at BSU.

Dr. Tinker said, “the highly collaborative environment at Boise State University is ideally suited for translational research.” She continued, “Boise State’s Biomolecular Research Center, NIH COBRE funding, and USDA- approved research vivarium has provided a strong trajectory of support for vaccine research.”
